i.MX 8 Mini cannot boot from Linux and not able to switch to Android

Hi all,

I flashed my i.MX8 Mini with the Linux image (L5.4.70_2.3.0_images_MX8MMEVK.zip) I downloaded from the official website and it worked well.

And then I tried to switch back to android image (android_p9.0.0_1.0.0-ga_image_8mmevk) also downloaded from the official website. But uuu is always blocked and keep repeating the "write -f u-boot-imx8mm-evk-uuu.imx -offset 0x57c00" step.

Since it does not work, I switched it back to Linux image again with the same image above. Though I can successfully flash the image, the board does not boot and looks like it is keeping reset again and again (The green D1 cpu and red D708 power LED goes off for a short instant every a few second).

Hopefully I could find some help here. Thank you.

Confirmed that the problem was caused by one wrong on/off setting on the switch. Thank you.

BTW I am flashing the image with the instructions I found on NXP website (uuu.exe L4.14.78_1.0.0_ga_images_MX8MMEVK.zip and uuu.exe uuu-android-mx8mm-evk-sd.lst)

Correct me if I am wrong, as I know the switch setting is the same for Android/Linux BSP before flashing/after flashed. That is, set to SDP mode before flashing and switch set to boot from eMMC mode after flashed. Thank you.

Have you set the right boot mode for your board to boot up? For linux and android download and boot up you can see our user guide, details in our documents.
