Hey, I'm trying to display screen on HDMI, LVDS and MIPI DSI on an 8MP EVK board. But the 8MP EVK board only display screen on LVDS and HDMI at start up to windows.

But I'm sure MIPI DSI is good. Because when Windows boots into Windows, the first display is MIPI DSI and then changes to LVDS and HDMI.

There are two problem:

1. I receive an error message when trying to enter Windows. (Attached file (Error Message.jpg) is the error message.). This message is displayed on both HDMI and LVDS.

2. MIPI DSI shows nothing when preparing to enter Windows. (Attached file(MIPI_DSI_HDMI.png) is same as my cable)

The attachment (galcore.txt) is my INF file. Please help to check if there is any error?

Hello @hankwang,

To enable 3 displays on 8MP EVK board, please follow the procedure below:

1. Use default Galcore.inf file (without the edits you sent)

2. Install the OS preferably with one display connected (default HDMI)

3. Connect the second and third displays to the board

4. Copy the contents of the .zip file that is attached to the board

5. Run LVDS0_HDMI_MIPI0_multimon.reg to enable multi-monitor mode, restart the board

6. All 3 displays should be active as follows (also the picture in the attachment)

Display 1 a Display 3 are duplicated, Display 2 is extended

1 - LVDS0
2 - MIPI DSI
3 - HDMI

7. To reverts the registry settings, run HDMI_multimon.reg, then restart the board

8. Only 1 (HDMI display) display will work

Best regards,

Michal

Hi , thanks for the information. The 8MP EVK board can display 3 screens.

But I have a problem, although 3 screens can be displayed independently, there will be lag or confusion in 2 or 1 screen (Just like the picture below). When I set up 2 screens to sync and expand one screen. All screens are good.

So is it not allowed to display three screens independently?

Hi @hankwang,

To set 3 displays independently, please follow below instructions:

Open regedit (Registry Editor) as Administrator and navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000

and change GdiAccLevel to 0

Then reboot the board and 3 displays can be displayed independently (extended).

Best regards,

Michal

Hi @hankwang,

We test how the displays work with each other. Please give us a few days to test.

Best regards,

Michal
