Why is there no support for buildroot?

I have seen several posts here mentioning that you use Yocto, and asking the ones requesting support to change to Yocto.

I am wondering why?  We are looking into using a computer with your processors in them, and we are looking to use a edge device platform that is specific to buildroot.

And as a follow-up, is there any commonly known way to get buildroot for IMX8MPLUS?

Hello,

Most vendors choose Yocto because it offers greater flexibility, scalability, and long-term maintenance capabilities, supports multiple hardware platforms, complex software dependencies, and runtime package management, and is suited to the needs of industrial-grade and commercialized projects, while Buildroot, while simple and fast, is relatively limited in its functionality and is not suited to scenarios that are complex or require long-term support.
