Hello,

When I connect MINISASTOCSI Accessory to the i.mx8mp evk board, I am able to display test pattern on the screen. But I am unable to record a video or see anything on display except gray screen. Can you please tell me if I am missing out something.

root@imx8mpevk:~# v4l2-ctl --list-devices

/dev/v4l-subdev0
/dev/v4l-subdev1

VIV (platform:viv0):

from log driver tries to find basler camera, while  "MINISASTOCSI " uses ov5640,

one can try some dts with enabled "ov5640"  (note there are two mipi-csi connectors on board):

from team:

-----------------

Can you provide following info:

- Are they seeing homescreen when linux bootup on HDMI ?

- What is the BSP version tried ?

- Can they try connecting camera directly to MIPI CSI 0 tru video0/video1 both and does it work ? Sometimes the OV5640 is connected incorrectly onto slot so this will verify if it works. Once it works directly with MIPI CSI 0 then they can try MINISAS to CSI

- Are they trying on customer platform or imx8mpevk ?

Hello @igorpadykov,

1. Yes, after open embedded has been loaded I can see grey screen on monitor with date and time displayed.

2. Linux imx8mpevk 5.10.9-1.0.0+g32513c25d8c7

3. Connecting camera directly is not possible. I am using MINISASTOCSI accessory on which camera is embedded and connected it using mipi connector (molex).

4. I am trying on imx8mpevk board.

Thank You.

Kind Regards,

Keniz

suggestions from team:

------------

1. try use imx8mp-evk.dtb

2. can they provide uboot env settings. It seems they may be using wrong dtb. I see they have mentioned they are using imx8mp-evk-ov2775-ov5640.dtb but from the logs it seems they are using basler dtb.

------------

igor
