TJA1100 Rx and Tx Failure Count

Hi,

We are using TJA1100 for our automotive applications. We have requirement to send out the PHY Rx and Tx failure count.

In Datasheet I can find the register address 26 (Link fail counter register).Which is counting Local receiver error count and Remote receiver error count.

We cannot understand completely the Local and remote receiver error counts. And How it related with Tx and Rx failure counts.

For example:

Can we assume like below

   Local receiver count = Tx failure

   Remote receiver count = Rx Failure

Can someone clarify the above doubts.
