Starting Android Linux kernel but not Android framework

Hi,

I have an i.MX53 QSB with Gingerbread, and I'm wondering if it's possible start just the Linux kernel and not the Android framework? I would like to be able to get shell access (via UART or ADB) and play around with some things before starting the full Android OS.

You can remove the "class_start main" in the init.rc
