SabreSD 6QP Android media profiles

Hi,

I'm wondering why you set the media_profiles.xml to be media_profiles_720p.xml for the 6QP variant of the SabreSD whereas the 6Q version uses the default 1080p version?

See device/fsl/sabresd_6dq/init.i.MX6QP.rc file in any Marshmallow release:

# set media_profile.xml
 setprop media.settings.xml /etc/media_profiles_720p.xml‍‍

Even the SabreAuto 6QP variant uses the 1080p, is it a mistake?

Hi Gary,

This setting is not a mistake. The sabresd_6qp board only have a CSI camera to be used as back camera, and it only support 720p. So this setting is necessary.

Thanks for the answer, I thought the media_profiles also affected other components than camera (like video playback) but it doesnt.
