PCM/I2S support on imx6q

Hi,

On our custom board, we are going to use a codec which gives PCM output.

Please let us know in perspective of IMX6Q processor, how PCM differs from I2S.

At many places, it is mentioned that PCM is similar to I2S.

Could  we use the same "ssi interface" driver  for  both PCM & I2S.

Hi bikash

"PCM" word is too generic and vague to provide accurate answer,

some PCM formats may be supported, some not.

Suggest to check codec datasheet and compare with i.MX6 RM SSI chapter

to understand if it can be supported.
