PCF85263A RTC Linux driver for i.mx6ul

I am using an external  PCF85263A  RTC on I2C interface of i.MX6ul.

I need linux based RTC driver for PCF85263A .

Can you please share the RTC driver with me ? I need it in very urgency.

Unfortunately I am not aware of PCF85263A usage with i.MX6UL.

Hi igor,

I checked the RTC driver in kernel. but this RTC driver is for PCF8523 and We are using PCF8526A. These both ICs are having different I2C register map. So I am not able to use this driver.

Can you please point out the proper RTC driver for  PCF8526A ?

Thank you for your response.

We want to increase battery coin cell life by using external RTC on im6ul.

Please let us share your thought regarding external RTC.  Is it worthful to use external RTC or not   ?
