Overlay frame buffer support on iMX6SL evk.

Hi,

In my iMX6SL evk board I am not able to see /dev/fb1 after start up.

Do iMX6SL support overlay frame buffer? How can I enable it?

In iMX6QDL processors IPU provides overlay frame buffer support.

mx6sl doesn't ipu, just has EPDC controler, which doesn't support overlay.

Hi Morabia,

In the documents i.MX_6SoloLite_EVK_Linux_Release_Notes.pdf and i.MX_6SoloLite_Linux_Reference_Manual.pdf you can see that "Support for screen updates from an alternate (overlay) buffer".

Here I attached them for you, please have a check. Hope this can help you.
