Hi,

Has anyone tried to build under Ubuntu 11.04?  I did "./ltib -c" and immediately got this error

Package      Minimum ver           Installed info

-------------      ------------------          -------------------

zlib              0    not installed

I've installed pretty much all zip related packages in "Ubuntu Softwae Center" and still no luck.  Anyone know which package (and how to install) I need?

Thanks

Hi,

I am also face this same issue during the LTIB installation time in Ubuntu11.10

After struggling I got a solution from some other forum

That is, simply run the attached script file in the following manner,

./glibzlib.sh <your LTIB path>

Try it!!

It needs the fixed Ltibutils.pm file as well.

There is no need. I think so!!!

It's not required, in my case.

Would you be interested in give Yocto a try?

zlib1g as well as zlib1g-dev are already installed.  I found help from this thread

http://forums.freescale.com/t5/i-MX-Microprocessors/i-MX51-LTIB-Ubuntu-11-04-x86-64-glibc-devel/m-p/...

However, I think I might messed up my install cause I hit -Ctrl-C when it looked like ltib was hung.

Any one know how to completely re-install ltib from scratch?

Also, I think you should be using the L2.6.35_11.04.01 package.  You should be able to port this to the imx53 with little trouble.  I did this for the iMX233.

The package required is zlib1g via Ubuntu Software Center.  I recommend that you also install zlib1g-dev.

I'm working with the L2.6.35_11.01.01 for the iMx53 Quick Start Board.
