What JTAG interface and debug tools are being used successfully with IMX6Q on SabreLite or Nitrogen6X devel boards?

I will be writing a custom U-Boot BSP and would like to have source-level debugging capability.  I tried a Segger J-Link with Segger 20-pin to 9-pin adapter and the latest version of Segger's GDB Server, but GDB does not seem to connect reliably with the IMX6Q on Nitrogen6X.  I also tried Segger's J-Link Commander as a test and I see the following in the GDB Server's log:

Waiting for J-Link connection...
J-Link is connected.
Firmware: J-Link ARM V8 compiled Sep 20 2012 13:27:01
Hardware: V8.00
S/N: 58005844
Checking target voltage...
Listening on TCP/IP port 2331
Connecting to target...WARNING: At least one of the connected devices is not JTAG compliant (IEEE Std 1149.1, 7.1.1.d, IR-cells). (NumDevices = 3, NumBitsSet = 2)

WARNING: Could not power-up system power domain

I have been using the Arium LC500S with the Sabrelite board and performed source level debugging.

Arium also has an adapter to go from the standard 20pin cable to the 10pin header on the Sabrelite board.

Regards,

Brett
