Issues with serial on iMX6

Hello we use iMX6DP4AVT1AA  devices in a hardware setup running on windows7 32bit and libusbx-1.0.15-win 

We face some problems on the serial hardware, where we have a FTDI232RL + 3.3V level translation  to comunicate with the iMX chip  .

Sometimes the test system fails when waiting  for  iMX boot console response. 

Is there any hardware alternative to ftdi232rl chip for comunication with imx?

We tryied a alternative using the native COM1  via a max232 + optical isolation and level translation, but the results where worst 

Any sugestions?

Hi bogdan

from i.MX6 side there are no restrictions, one can use any rs232

converter or USB to serial UART interface.
