Hello experts,

Currently we are performing IMX8MP ISP tuning for our own sensor IMX662.

We have followed all the steps as mentioned in ISP Calibration Tool Suite User Guide,

After calibration, AWB is not settling properly We are getting color error in IMA Test. 

I have attached AWB data from calibration tool.

Below are the observations:

1. When we are keeping AWB mode = manual, color errors are better comparing to AWB mode =AUTO. Below are the detailed comparison of color errors from IMA Test.

2. We were getting AWB bouncing issue, but this was resolved by changing the damping parameters (i.e DampCoefAdd, DampCoefSub, DampingCoefMin and DampingCoefMax). Please let us know , is this correct way to adjust?

Please have a look and let us know how can we improve the results.

Hi @jp4,

For the gain polygon modifier, you need to keep all points representing the color temperatures inside the black polygon and the black polygon inside the orange polygon.

When you use AWB out of the lab, the environment blue/red gain will also create a point and lie inside the polygons. If the environment blue/red gain is inside the black polygon, the ISP will use the AWB parameters of the color temperature which is closest to the point. If the point is outside the black polygon but inside the orange polygon, the point will be clipped to the closet black border. However, if the point is outside the orange polygon, the ISP will regard the current situation as an abnormal situation and the AWB parameters will lock.
