IMX6S Display Error

Good morning,

I'm using Android 4.0.4 on BCM board based on IMX6S. I'm actually facing with problem on LVDS display: after at least one day running, randomly display go black (usually with orange vertical lines) but applications (checking by ADB) are still working..

The error I can catch throurgh Android Log is:

<fb_post, 184> ioctl FBIOPAN_DISPLAY failed

Can anyone please help me?

Hi Giorgio

FBIOPAN_DISPLAY error is Android frame buffer error,

caused by bug on some Android ports. You may contact bcmcom.com for

more updated Android release. Alternatively you can post this to meta-fsl-arm

mailing list, so that someone familiar with this board could try to assist you.

Hi Chip,

yes, thank you; BCM already provide me a newer Android version.

I'm asking because, at the moment, I don't want to use the latest version because on actual AOSP version I've made a lot of customization that would take a lot of time to be ported on new one.

Because of this, I'm investigating if there are some patches to be applied to Android 4.0.4 that could solve the problem.
