IMX6Q with LAN7430

Dear Team,

As we have developed hardware based on MCIMX6Q4AVT10. In this design we have used INTEL 82574IT PCIe to gigabit Ethernet controller IC. Since the part became obsolete, we want to use the part from Microchip LAN7430. Could you please let us know, will this LAN7430 supported by IMX6Q part we are using in current design.

Also if you have any details  that can be shared on firmware / driver developed based on this LAN7430 with IMX6Q .

Also any reference schematics based on IMX6Q with LAN7430 is also helpful.

Hi,

I hope you are doing well.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in response.

LAN7430 will be supported by IMX6Q as long as the logic level matches and the PCIe specifications match with the iMX6Q. Unfortunately, there is no schematic reference available.

The driver is already present in Linux BSP. One can enable the same with the help of enabling with the help of CONFIG_LAN743X Linux kernel configuration
