I am trying to compile OpenMP (-fopenmp) gcc 4.8.2 and I am getting compliation error

I am new to OpenMP and I am trying to compile it on gcc working on imx6 quad core. Not able to compile as it erring out saying #include<omp.h> not found. How can I solve this.

                          I had looked into the link that you have given and made the necessary additions in local.conf file. I am still getting the same error. Should I rebuild the whole think again after making he changes in local.conf file?
