How to use DDR3L'S ECC function for I.MX8QXP

Hello NXP Team ,

     Here are some questions about i.MX8QXP, could you help to answer:

     1.If we can use a  mixture of LPDDR4 and DDRL3  for the IMX8QXP to generate ECC function for DDRL3?

      2.If we want to use I.MX8QXP's ECC function, do we need to choose the DDR3L chip also interagte ECC function and have dedicated ECC port?

     3.How to connect I.MX8QXP's ECC port ? directly connect to DDR3L's ECC port?

Hi Yi Wang,

For i.MX8 / i.MX8X serials processors, we only recommend customers to use LPDDR4. For other DDR types, we do not recommend using them.
This means that i.MX8 / i.MX8x have the best support for LPDDR4.

     I see the datasheet says it can support DDR3L with ECC also, because we considering the functional safety relevant , but LPDDR4 can support ECC, that main reason why we want to use DDR3L...

    Do you have good suggestion for that?
