Hi peteramond,
Please make sure your i.mx6 is under serial download mode and you can find there is a i.mx6 HID device displayed in your PC hardware manager.

Hi Peter
no image should be running on board, it should be put to "Serial download mode"
after power-up. DIP switches should be "Serial download mode"- BOOT_MODE0,1= 10,
please check sect.8.2.1 Boot mode pin settings i.MX6DQ Reference Manual
http://cache.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/IMX6DQRM.pdf
also one can look at Sabre SD schematic
Schematics (1)
i.MX6_SABRE_SDP_DESIGNFILES
http://www.nxp.com/products/software-and-tools/hardware-development-tools/sabre-development-system/s...
Also if you are using imx6q, then "Target" should not be MX6UL.
Best regards
igor
Dear #igorpadykov
Many thanks for your explanation and I'm happy to say that I could successfully do the calibration using sabre sdb board.
I need to clarify some thing on this. When we do the calibration using USB OTG with serial download mode (No OS on board, No SD card & no eMMC access) ; does the host PC access to the NOR FLASH of the sabre sdb ? What are the files inside NOR flash ? If we are going to do the RAM test for custom board do we need to write NOR Flash ? What kind of data should we include to NOR Flash for custom boards which designed by us ?
Regards,
Peter.
Hi Peter
no, NOR FLASH is not used for ddr test
Best regards
igor
Hi igorpadykov
Then will the host PC access to iMAX6 Processor Boot ROM ?
Sorry, actually I need to get clear understanding about how DDR calibration and stress test work. I'm okay with its process and now it is working for my development boards. But when I do it for newly designed hardware by my self those information are required.
Regards.
Peter.
Hi Peter
right, during Serial Downloader mode described in Chapter 8 System Boot i.MX6DQ RM,
host PC access to iMX6 Processor Boot ROM, download process is handled by ROM code.
Best regards
igor
Hi
Many thanks for your timely feedback !!

Peter.
Hi Peter
please check presentation on

Hi igor,
Thank you for the quick response.
I did following steps >>
But when I click "Download" it shows >>
My board is imax6 quad sabre SDB and image running on SD card is " fsl-image-validation-imx-x11-imx6qdlsolo.sdcard" . As well as I connected the sabre SDB to host pc via USB OTG of sabre sdb and then device manager shows NOTHING in user interface. As well as the loaded init script is "MX6Q_SabreSD_DDR3_1GB_64bit.inc"
Please advice on this.
Regards,
Peter.
