How to modify source code and rebuild yocto project?

Hi everyone,

I am very new to develop with yocto project.

I recently use repo to get yocto imx6 source code which version is imx-3.10.53_1.0.0_ga, and I just follow user guide to build the image using bitbake and created image on SABRE-SD board and runs successfully and get the root login.

Now I need to modify kernel code, for example "imx6q-sabresd.dts", but I only find it under "build" folder.

So I would like to know, how should I modify "imx6q-sabresd.dts" and then rebuild and generate image?
