How to Run OpenAuto as Head Unit on i.MX8M Plus to Project Android Auto?

Hello,

My goal is to connect an Android phone to an i.MX8M Plus board running Linux and use OpenAuto in head unit mode. I want to be able to project Android Auto features like Maps, Music, and Calls onto the i.MX8M Plus display.

I would like to know:

What are the necessary configurations or dependencies to enable this setup?

Are there any example images or reference implementations available for OpenAuto on i.MX8M Plus?

Do I need to enable any specific USB gadget mode or audio routing support?

Any guidance or reference documentation would be appreciated.

Hi,

NXP doesn't have this program, similar to this is carplay paid support based on i.MX8X and i.MX8, not i.MX8MP.
