How can our device(IMX6DL) support iBeacon feature?

Hi,

  We use IMX6DL + Android 4.4, and we want to support the feature iBeacon to broadcast advertisement.

  How much effort for the iBeacon feature?

  If we upgrade the codebase to Android5.0, shall we pay any more effort for this feature like modifying Bluetooth stack or Bluetooth controller firmware?

Freescale does not provide any special support for iBeacon feature. You may wait for official Android 5.0 BSP release from Freescale (end of Q2 2015) and then evaluate the feature with any Bluetooth LE compatible transceiver.
