Hello,

We will be using two screens. One will be LVDS 1280*800 and other one will be HDMI 1920*1080 with our i.MX8M Plus.

So can we run two different applications at both of our screens?

How would be the performance?

And I wonder if it is possible to make LVDS line 1-2 meters long?

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards.

Hi @Wobaffet ,

Using i.MX8MP, you can run two different applications on your screens.

The wayland/weston will occupy both the screens, enabling you to drag your applications/windows.

What do you think about the length of the LVDS line? How long can it be?

It actually depends on your application / use case / screen size / cable type, etc.

The longer the cable, the higher would be the jitter inversely affecting the data rate.

You may also want to refer to LVDS to HDMI adapter.
