Hello all,

I am using Segger J-Link Plus debugger to test the JTAG functionality of MIMX8ML8DVNLZAB on my custom board. Could you please let me know if this is possible.

If not please guide me how to test JTAG functionality of MIMX8ML8DVNLZAB.

Looking forward for your valuable quick response.

BR,

Sunil H S

Hello,

We did follow the instructions but still we get the error " Unable to detect the target".

Hence we followed the instructions from below link (to debug via openOCD application on linux environment)  https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors/How-to-JTAG-debug-iMX8mq/m-p/837227

Can you suggest us with suitable debugger.

However, we run into error, as shown in attached document. Looking forward for your quick response.

BR,

Sunil H S

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

We have tried to add the suggested patch to the VS code (NXP extension) but still the errors pops up. My team has already posted the same in : iMX8M-Plus Supported Debugger for J-Tag - NXP Community.

Please guide me on the same. Shall we use any higher versions debuggers from Jlink ? if so please suggest the same.

BR,

Sunil H S
