D8 - D15 usage of EPDC controller

Hi I.mx7 experts, I saw that the EPDC controller of I.MX7 dual process has D0-D15, totally 16 pins for E-ink display. However, E-ink display only need 8 pins for data transfer, usually D0-D7. So, what is the usage of D8-D15 pins for EPDC controller? Can it use D8-D15 to transfer data to second e-ink display? Please advise.

seems e-ink ED097OC1 has 16 pins, unfortunately it is not possible

to use D8-D15 to transfer data to second e-ink display.
