Building rpm command using yocto

I built images for IMX53 evk board with minimal image by referring https://community.freescale.com/docs/DOC-94023 , I want to install rpm packages, but rpm command is not available in the file system.

Can you tell me where to modify the config to build rpm command also with the file system.

In the document it's described how to add package management to the image (in case it does not have it) and how to initialize it. I hope it helps.

Hi, 

I am new in the NXP community and found I have similar question. However, my situation is a little bit different:

1. I am using IMX8MQEVK board.

2. because of company policy, my host computer can't serve as www server and my imx8 are not allowed to connect to network either.

Is there any alternative to install rpm packages but no network?
