Android usb string descriptors

Hi ,

            I am using imx6qdl sabresd board. When i connect the board to windows machine it is being detected as IMX6Q-SABRESD device in device manager. How to change that string to custom name?

Please help me . Thanks in advance.

           Thanks for the quick response.

We are trying to change the name of the board which is connected to windows machine, not the VID and PID.

Is it possible?

windows machine uses VID@PID values provided by i.MX6Q ROM,

they are programmed in fuses USB_VID[31:0], USB_PID[31:0]

described in Table 5-10. Fusemap Descriptions i.MX6DQ RM

Seems there is no way to change them as they are burned in factory.
