NFS

Network File System (NFS) is a network file system protocol originally developed by Sun Microsystems in 1984, allowing a user on a client computer to access files over a network as easily as if the network devices were attached to its local disks.

The use of NFS makes the development work of user space applications easy and fast since all target root file system is located into host (PC) where the applications can be developed and crosscompiled to target system. The target system will use this file system located on host as if it is located on target.
NFS service will be used to transfer the root file system from host to target.
