The Freescale i.MX Android team has booted up Android 5.0 Lollipop in the SABRE platform for i.mx6 series.

Google pushed all of the latest source for its Android release to AOSP on Nov. 5, and the Freescale Android Team started their work.

With the previous 6 days to boot Android Lollipop up, the Freescale i.MX Android team enabled the basic features like connectivity, audio/video playback, sensors, inputs and display on day 7!

You can see the some changes in the demo video at the beginning of the post.

The Freescale i.MX Android team has closely followed almost every version of Android since it is released by AOSP and has good experience on it.

Below are some snapshots and pictures for the Android Lollipop.

Nice job!

Keep up the great work.

:-D

Good job. I was able to run Lollipop on Nitrogen6q till Launcher with HW OpenGL( using OpenGL libs, gralloc and hwcomposer from Freescale's KitKat release). But now I'm constantly running into an error when navigating in the Launcher:

F/OpenGLRenderer( 3066): Encountered EGL error 12299 EGL_BAD_NATIVE_WINDOW during rendering

...

So I have a question: will OpenGL libs from the KitKat release work or I need to wait an update to be able to run Lollipop?

Where can I download souce?

Nice~

Awesome!!!!!!

I'm facing in the same situation. Do you find any solution ? Is there any bug in OpenGL implementation or do you find a patch in android to workaround the issue ? It seems that the framework have been reworked a lot in hwui, is there a behavior modification ?

unbelievable!! Good job!

Are applicable patches available yet?  I am working on a product for a client and would really like to have the latest Linux kernel available.

haoranwang can you tell us if there are applicable patches available?

Thank you for your interesting in our Android BSP.

Currently we are working on our Android Lollipop Beta release. The alpha release is available for internal use now.

For the "latest Linux kernel" our BSP team are ready for them 3.10.53 GA release. I think you can fetch it on fsl website in 1 month.

Any updates regarding Lollipop release date for the i.MX6?
