USB dongle QN908x does not work with QTool

Hi,

I'm trying to get USB dongle QN908x to work with QTool. I referred to the document, https://community.nxp.com/docs/DOC-340384 , to set it up. However, I'm unable to make the dongle enter bootloader mode after I short TP5 to GND, and press reset button on it.

I can see a Virtual COM port when i plug in USB dongle. But QTool is unable to read it.

Can someone please help

It fails for me too, i

plug usb in

short TP4-TP5

press reset button

virtual COM goes away, no disk drive

release reset button

virtual COM comes back, no disk drive

TP5 doesnt seem to be pulled high, or it might be a pulse.

what to do next?

Hi Arpad,

What is the device manager showing out?

The TP5 must be connected to ground. Are you sure that you are connecting to GND?

The problem was that the silk screen is missaligned with the pads.

Now it works.

Hi Sandeep,

Please be sure that you are connecting the TP5 and the TP4

Are you pressing the reset button? or Did you plug the dongle after the tp5 and tp4 connection?
