Posting a new question and replying to existing ones is a simple task in the community.  To Create a New Question:  1.- Click on the Pencil icon next to your avatar and select Question 2.- Create your new question by adding a title, a body (you can use the advanced editor tool), you can also add attachments, add a place where you want to post your question (clicking the Browse Places option will only provide the places where you have access to) and to finalize click Post.  To Reply to an Existing Question:  1.- Go to the question where you want to post a reply, if you want to reply to the original post click on the reply button below it 2. If you want to reply to an existing reply of a question, click on the Reply option on the right bottom corner.  3.- Create your reply using the advanced editor tool if needed and click on Add Reply.  :smileycheck: Congratulations, you just learned how to post and reply a question in the community.

Navigating through the community and finding content that might be useful for your projects is very simple and there are several ways to do it.  1.- You can use the global navigation bar and use a keyword to find just about anything hosted in the community public spaces.  2. - You can also use the Places tab to look for a community and do a more refined search within it. you can identify the types of communities by the image next to each community name.  Spaces: Main public community tree. Projects: Sub communities that inherit parent space access rights.  Groups: Mostly private and require invitation to join them. 3.-  You can use the search widget placed on each of the community homepages and search within that specific community only.  3.-Or you can use the Content tab placed in the global navigation bar or within each community and refine your search by type of content, sort it by creation date, content you have participated in, etc.  :smileycheck: You have just learned a new way to search and find content easily!

Changing your password can sometimes be a pain, don't worry, we have a simple and easy way to do it.  1. Log in to nxp.com and click on My Account next to your name. 2. Select Change My Password under Profile   3.- Fill in the required fields and click Submit.  4.- You will get a pop-up screen with the following message. You can click on the link that reads "click here" to go back to your account page.  :smileycheck: Congratulations, you just learned how to change your password!

Updating your first and last name is easy but cannot be done through the community tool, you need to change it directly in nxp.com following the next steps.  1.- Log in to nxp.com and Click on MY ACCOUNT next to your name 2.-Click on Change User Information under Profile   3.- Update Name or Request Email Address Change and click on the Update button. 4.- Confirm that your name changes automatically in the next screen  5.- Also, verify your name has changed in the community by clicking on your avatar. :smileycheck: Changing your name or email will not make you lose any content or contributions to community.

Your profile page is an easy way to keep track of your contributions no matter where they were originally posted such as documents, threads, replies, followed places and people, and bookmarked content.  To access your profile simply:  1.- Log in to community 2.- Click on the drop-down arrow next to your name and select View Profile 3.- Click on the tab that you are aiming to track.  :smileycheck: Congratulations, you just learned a new way to review your contributions in one same spot.

You can update your profile settings at any time.  Follow the next steps to modify your personal information and privacy settings. 1.- Click on the drop-down arrow next to your name and select Edit Profile 2.- Let others know more about you by update your profile details such as title, company, expertise and country! Once you are done click Finished. 3.- Define what you want others to see by setting your privacy settings.  Once you are done click   Finished . 4.- Make it fun, select an Avatar.  5.- Let other see the real you! Add a profile image.  :smileycheck: Congratulations, other users will now have the opportunity to know a little more about you.

Once you have created your account and logged in you are ready to set your profile preferences.  1.- Click on the drop-down arrow next to your avatar and click on Preferences 2.- Update your general preferences such as inbox notifications and email frequency and click on Save.       You will see a short description next to each option!  :smileycheck: Congratulations, your preferences are all set!

Creating a Community account is very easy. Follow the next steps to be part of the best engineer to engineer collaboration center.  1.- Access www.nxp.com/community and click Log in 2.- If you already have an NXP account, Sign In and jump to step:  If you do not own an NXP account in yet, click Register Now 3.- Fill in all the * Required Fields, Accept Terms and Conditions and click on Register   4.- A pop-up window will ask you to verify your email, click OK 5.-You will get an email with subject: " Please verify your NXP.com account" , click on the link that reads Verify your email address 6.- Once verified, you will be automatically logged in to nxp.com, Click on "My account" 7.- Under the SUPPORT area, click on View all Communities   8.- Now you have landed in the community homepage, please click Log in once more 9.- Fill in the required fields and click Log in Important: (Changing your username will require administrator support, it will also DELETE any existing Jive user representation with the same username.) 10.- Accept Terms & Conditions    :smileycheck: You are all set, welcome to the NXP Community!

Please use this procedure only for confidential cases and for cases which cannot be publicly shared on Community. Question here means issue, ticket, case... and other synonyms. With the new NXP the new websites come as well and a procedure for question submitting is different. Please, follow the steps: 1) Visit www.nxp.com and click on Support on the top of the webpage 2) Select All Support Options        3) Scroll down to the bottom and click on Go to Tickets under MY TICKETS section 4) Login to the NXP Community - you must be registered here on www.nxp.com 5) Select "Add a folder" 6) Is necessary to fill the details about your project 7) After successful folder creation, you can add new case 😎 Fill the form for New Case   9) Case was successfully created, click on icon below and you will find the response from the NXP Please, see description of the status : New - case created In Progress - case assigned Answered Back - case answered Redirected - case internally redirected to product box Pending Customer Reply - customer reply required Pending Internal - internal expertise required Escalated - the case is not assigned for 48 hours or was escalated to specific expert box Close - case closed after 7 days customer no activity How to update the ticket? Just click on "Reply" button in the email coming from tech.support@nxp.com 10) Here you will see a list of your contexts and their cases 12) You can invite people to your context Participants get access to a context and can see everything within this context: all cases and the related communication. can also submit new cases, like the context owner. Observers get view-only access to a context and can see everything within this context: all cases and the related communication. cannot submit new cases, this is reserved for the context owner and participants. Go to the Community where you want to post your document. Click on the "Actions" drop-down menu and select "Document" under the Create section                  Write down the title and body of your document. You can always insert Images, embed videos and format your content. NOTE: Make sure you choose a place to post your content. Tag it! it makes it easier to find. You can save your draft or publish it right away.

Jive for Outlook Plugin Installation Instructions Exit the Outlook application Download the plugin from Jive community using a web browser. The file can be downloaded from:  https://community.nxp.com/artifact/download/outlook.msi  Microsoft Office 2010/2013/2016/  Office 365 are supported. Depending on the browser used (i.e., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome) the file will either download automatically or prompt for input. If prompted, select the “Run” option if possible. If “Run” is not an option then select “Save file”. If not prompted at all then skip this step and the next. Once the file is downloaded it may prompt again to confirm the “Run” option. Click the “Run” button if prompted If you were prompted to “Run” in the earlier steps then skip this step and the next. Otherwise, the file automatically downloaded or you chose the option to save the file. Open the download file, JiveOutlookInstaller.msi, either from the bottom of the browser window or in the folder where the file was saved. Most likely the Windows “Downloads” directory is where the file will be found. After you click to open the downloaded file you will be prompted. Click the “Run” button Click the Next button from the Jive for Outlook Setup screen Click "Only for me” button Click the “Finish” button after installation is complete. Install takes about 1-2 minutes. Start Outlook – The Jive for Outlook plugin will now be visible in the mail window near the top left Click Options  and "Enable"  the plugin A new window will appear to Activate Super Search Complete the installation, "OK" Select "Accounts (Offline)"  and ad Community URL: https://community.nxp.com/   and "Check"   Add your user (CoreId) and password  and "Sign in" Connection is ready "Close"
