Dear support, if a customer has 2 floating licences, 1 Standard and 1 Professional on the same server with FlexLM and wishes to buy anther one Basic (CWP-BASIC-FL), is possible to force this license to be used only from a specific PC leaving the other licences free for other PCs on the network ?

Thanks a lot

Antonio

Hello Antonio,

There is an option #2:

Customer can buy Node-locked license just for the specific user.

When the development is done they can convert this node-locked license to a floating one.

This cannot be converted on nxp.com account but they will need to contact our licensing team via a support ticket:

Hi Antonio,

What about configuring two floating license instances on this server each listening on a different port.

First instance will contain 1 Standard + 1 Professional; Port xxx

Second instance: 1 Basic only; port yyy

Now the client configuration for one specific PC will use port yyy whereas all other client will use port xxx.

Would it meet the customer expectation?

Stan
