Hello,

A few months ago bought a perpetual license, but the CodeWarrior (10.1) does not recognize the file "license.dat". This file has been changed several times, but the problem persists. Anyone ever had or currently has a similar problem?

J2MEJediMaster,
The problem was solved. A new license file was generated with the help of technical support, and this time the file worked perfectly (Service Request SR 1-807951513).
Thank you for help.

Regards.

Have you filed a service request for this yet?

OK, let's take this tack: first. what do you mean by: "the license.dat file has been changed several times"?

Second, what CodeWarrior tools are you using? You've stated that the version is v10.1 (which helps a lot, really), but are you using CodeWarrior for MCUs or CodeWarrior for Power Architecture?

Tom,

The license file has been changed several times because it was provided by another company, which sells licenses. The site of this company which sold the license is "www.software.com.br." They are trying to solve this problem for several weeks, but without success. During this process, they have sent me several files "licence.dat," and I substitute in the CodeWarrior folder, so I have several license files stored.

The IDE I use is the CodeWarrior for MCU's.

Check your e-mail. I have sent you a temporary license file. If it works, then the other company has problems with its licensing mechanism. If not, then something is wrong with your CodeWarrior installation. Either way, hopefully this will get you unstuck.

Tom,
Great, the file worked! It seems to be a license for 20 days, but it will help me a lot to continue my project, which is stopped due to this problem. Thank you!

PS: I will contact the other company to continue trying to solve the problem.

I would contact your local Freescale representative and work with him on getting this problem fixed as soon as possible. You've been stuck for some time now without our tools working, and that does not help either you or Freescale.

Get back to me if the license runs out and you are still stuck on the license issue.

Glad to hear there is a happy ending for your license problem. I apologize for it taking so long to get the tools operational.
