Hi All,

We recently bought 3 floating license for Codewarrior professional edition which comes under three different entitlement ID's. I  encountered few issues

1. When i registered the professional edition with freescale login ( for generating the license file),  Drop-down list shows that i can download multiple IDE's from freescale(refer attachement 1) .  When i tried to download the license file it shows the following error. Does codewarrior professional edition supports only codewarrior IDE?? ( Refer attachement 2). Will it wont support other IDE's like powerpc architecture, star Code DSP,MPC's?

2. 3 Floating license may generate three different license file. Is it possible to merge all three license file into a single license file??

Hi Zhang,

Thanks for reverting back. We procured floating license Codewarrior professional edition(generic). License.dat which we tend to generate shall support all Codewarrior IDe's right? In our team one may  need 10.6(s12z family) whereas i need  5.1(s12xFAMILY) someone may use MPC555x series!.... To put it simple we need to generate the license file which support all Codewarrior IDE's.

Please help me on this regard!!

hi ruby,

different architecture needs different CW IDE version support. HCS12 MCU is supported by CW for HCS12(x), starcore is supported by CW for startcore DSP, etc.  each CW IDE use each license. for example, the CW for HCS12 license can only for for CW for HCS12(x). it can't work for other CW IDE.

regarding to your second question, yes, you can merge several licenses to one license.dat file. see this thread:

can this help?

Have a great day,
