I have been issued a license for the CodeWarrier dongle and use it.

Until now, it was possible to copy the license to a new PC and use it as the same dongle USB.

Recently, I copied the license to a new PC and used it as the same dongle USB, so it doesn't work.

I don't know the difference between a PC that has been operable so far and a PC that I recently purchased.

The license has been purchased for more than five years.

Licenses still work well on existing PCs.

I want to move my work environment to a new PC, what should I do?

Some Windows 10 computers will not allow the Dongle to comunicate with the CodeWarrior Software, pelase genearte the License with the MAC addrress of the computer that you will be using CodeWarrior with.

Dongles will be discontinued latter this year.

Hello,

Yes, you can migrate the dongle license as you described.

I suspect there is an issue with dongle driver.

I'd recommend you reinstall the drivers:

https://www.nxp.com/webapp/sps/download/license.jsp?colCode=CWX-FLEX-DD-STD

and run LMtools (64bit)

https://www.nxp.com/lgfiles/licensing/LMTOOLS-64BIT.zip

can you see the flexID detected (as depicted on page 5. of document below)?

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/supporting-information/DongleQS.pdf

Hope it helps.

I installed LMtools, dongle driver, and flexID.

It was also confirmed that the dongle driver was recognized with the flexID as shown in page 5 of the attached document.

It still doesn't working.

Hi,

could you make sure the valid license.dat (locked to the FlexID printed on USB dongle) is located in "<CodeWarrior for MCU>\MCU\license.dat"

Also please check the license path -  system variable LM_LICENSE_FILE (type "set LM_LICENSE" in windows terminal/command line)

if there a path to an alternative codewarrior version installed on the computer wrong license could be used.

The license.dat file is located in the correct location.

(C:\freescale\CW MCU v10.7\MCU\license.dat)

There may be a problem with CodeWarrier 2.1 installed on the PC.

So can you explain this part in more detail?
->  Also please check the license path - system variable LM_LICENSE_FILE (type "set LM_LICENSE" in windows terminal/command line)

How can I check the license path?
