Bonjour, serait-il possible d’avoir des renseignements sur le capteur de pression MPX5700. C’est-à-dire les composants et leur rôle et s’il est possible de reproduire un circuit électrique permettant de traduire son fonctionnement. Merci.

Bonjour,

Once again, thank you for using the NXP community.

Within our portfolio, we offer three types of pressure sensors: absolute, differential and gauge devices.

The differential voltage output of the sensor is directly proportional to the differential pressure applied. The absolute sensor has a built-in reference vacuum. The output voltage will decrease as vacuum, relative to ambient, is drawn on the pressure (P1) side.

The output voltage of the differential or gauge sensor increases with increasing pressure applied to the pressure (P1) side relative to the vacuum (P2) side. Similarly, output voltage increases as increasing vacuum is applied to the vacuum (P2) side relative to the pressure (P1) side.

I do recommend reviewing the documents from the pressure sensor series requested (MPX5700 for example) for further information.

If you are planning to measure the atmospheric pressure, I do recommend the following device:

MPL3115A2S - I2C precision pressure sensor with altimetry

The MPL3115A2S is a compact, piezoresistive, absolute pressure sensor with an I2C digital interface. MPL3115A2S has a wide operating range of 20 kPa to 110 kPa, a range that covers all surface elevations on earth.

 I hope this information helps.

Regards,

David

For a school project, I wanted to take an interest in this pressure sensor. But the problem is that I don't understand how it works (i.e. how it senses pressure, whether it's via a strain gauge or something else). I then wanted to reproduce the operation using resistors/ coils/ capacitors/ ALI, etc... So in the form of a very simplified electrical circuit of the system. Basically, I wanted to know what technology he uses to measure atmospheric pressure. I see that your diagram shows voltage as a function of pressure. So the sensor supplies the pressure using the voltage supplied to it?

Bonjour,

I hope all is great with you. Thank you for using the NXP communities.

Below, you may find the relation between the applied pressure and the output voltage:

Could you please share more details about the information that you need about the MPX5700 device?
