One possibility is to do this "programmatically": i.e. add a custom application that changes the Slave Port Address during MMA9550L initialization (see SP_ADDR register in MMA955xL Hardware Reference manual p.108). You can find information about developing custom user application in AN4129.

Yes, this should be doable. Nevertheless we need more information from you, more specifically which version are you considering (between MMA9550, MMA9551, MMA9553, MMA9555, MMA9559...), as their Firmware differ and may be a limiting factor.
