Hi,

Can someone tell me the memory requirements for the SAF library? We are considering using the S32K341 for a safety-critical application.

Thanks and best regards,

Kenny

Hi Kenny,

There is user manual for each SAF module: sCheck, mSel, sBoot, sReco, eMcem, Bist.
The chapter “Software integration” in each user manual includes detailed requirements or assumptions for integrating the corresponding SAF module.
In the chapter “Memory Allocation” of each SAF module’s user manual, the sections defined for that module is listed with detailed requirements.
Summarize all those information to get the list of sections that are defined in all SAF driver software.

Hi,

Where do I obtain these manuals? The product page for SAF and SPD lists products briefs and a user manual (that is really a quick start guide slide deck).

We don't yet have a license. We are trying to evaluate some things before moving forward with the S32K3xx processor. To get this information do I need an evaluation license?

Thanks.

Sorry, it seems that the evaluation license cannot be obtained from the SAF webpage at the moment. I am asking my colleagues how to obtain it.
In addition, can you see Safety Software Framework for S32K3 Version 1.0.5 (Evaluation Version) when searching for keywords "SAF S32K3“ in Product Search?

Thanks.

We're holding the release of a board on this and a few other items. Do you think you can just send me an estimate of the total RAM / ROM requirements for all of the SAF components? This is all I really need.

Regarding the search: I tried a number of different things and could not find that page. It's very confusing. Can you send me the link rather than an image?

A1. Please check the value circled in red in SAF-occupied memory size.png

A2. The link seems to be different for each account. I sent the link to other colleagues and they were unable to open it to get the software.
In addition, this requires signing an NDA, so please contact your local agent or NXP sales.

I was able to find the "Safety Packs" on the S32K product page. Apparently I need the "Quality Packs"?
