S32K396-BGA-DC1 D11 LED glowing

Hello,

We have newly ordered S32K396-BGA-DC1 Eval Boards & trying out the basic steps given in the link : Getting Started With S32K396-BGA-DC1 Evaluation Board | NXP Semiconductors

Below are the settings that we have made

1. We are using on-board FS26 power to the uC. Hence J4, J6, J7 are connected to 2-4 positions

2. We are using on-board OpenSDA debugger. Hence J16, J17, J18 & J19 are connected to 1-2 position.

3. We have powered through the DC adapter provided in the kit & then finally turned-on the SW10

We are seeing that D1, D2, D3 & D4 LEDs are glowing. Apart from that D11(Red LED) is glowing as well. 

Is this expected? When we saw the schematics, it says the FCCU1 connection coming from the uC to the PMIC. So, is it the correct state & after programming it goes away?

Hi

Since I support S32K and am not familiar with FS26, I will ask my colleague to help check if the FCCU1 status is correct.
My S32K396-BGA-DC1 board has the same LED status as yours. I see that FCCU1 is pulled down by an external resistor R61, so D11(Red LED) is glowing is light.
Are you unable to download the program now?

I am able to download the code into the eval board. I just want to confirm if this is the expected behavior? I went through the user manual & the step by step procedure, nowhere the D11 point is mentioned. It would be helpful if this is mentioned in your next revision of the user manual, if it is the expected behavior.

Kindly let me know once you get the information from your colleague. In my opinion, the FCCU1 pin, is output from uC & that is driving the LED (since FCCU1 is input to the FS26).

If SBC FS26 in debug mode, there is no need to configure the FCCU related function in your side, the default value of FCCU1 is low and FCCU2 is high in your schematic.
