S32K116EVB-Q048 RGB LED not working

Hi, 

I've just started using the S32K116EVB-Q048 for a prototype development, starting from the basic examples in order to verify the PINout.

I've tried to run the "S32K116_Project_hello" and the "ftm_combined_pwm_s32k116" projects. Both are correctly compiled and loaded on the board, but I'm not able to make the RGB LED work. The LED is fine, I've checked with external power supply.

It seems that the issue is related to the J109, J110 and J111 headers, but I'm not able to find the correct documentation about these headers because all the docs on the NXP website is related to the previous EVB version.

Some suggestion on how to make the example projects work and turn on the LED?

Hi NicoloStrozzi,

Seems that you are using S32K116EVB2Q048 instead of S32K116EVB-Q048.
Please download the Schematics of S32K116EVB2Q048 Evaluation Board.
The default jumper setting of J109 J110 J111 is not connect MCU pins to LED. In order to use these LEDs, you need to change the jumper setting .

Hi @Robin_Shen,

thank you very much for the quick reply and for the schematics, I haven't found them on the website.

We have tested all the connection to the LED with a tester, and it seems to us that in our board the LED is mounted upside down. 

I attach a couple of pics to this thread, could you please let me know if it's so?

It was an assembly error/issue. I will be escalating this case with the warehouse and Boards solution team to review all boards in stock.

I would recommend fixing the EVB with a local NXP team.
