S32DS Versions

Using the S32DS development environment relies on installing a base package and then adding online extensions and updates. As the extensions and updates are collected from online repositories, which are updated periodically, I would like to understand the best approach to maintaining the same installation versions.

With multiple projects being worked on by multiple engineers it is important that as new engineers start to work on these projects they are able to install the same versions of the tools and extensions currently in use.

Is it possible to collect all the repositories in an offline archive and perform an offline installation?  Is there an easier way, would be good to be able to export an installation to some kind of installation file.

Hello,

You can use package manager on our web.

https://www.nxp.com/app-autopackagemgr/software-package-manager:AUTO-SW-PACKAGE-MANAGER?ticket=ST-43...

It will generate the zip file with all the packages you select.

So you have one installation package as whole.

Best regards,

Peter

Peter,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I have used the package manager previously for additional extensions. If everything was downloaded from here do you have to perform some kind of offline installation to ensure no packages are taken from elsewhere?

Hello,

Not sure. But it will generate .zip file which you will install into S32DS, so there will be no other packages installed then those in zip.

Best regards,

Peter

I have been trying to match what is in my installation and what is available in package manager. Unfortunately I am not able to match most of the packages so I cannot see how this method is going to work. Even if I could get an exact match for each package and download as a zip, it is not the fact that there are no other packages in the zip but more online that is the issue. So it is not clear what installation options would be available.

Here is my installation list, how can I replicate this on another machine, in 6 months time, when all of the online packages have been updated?

Hello,

I recommend you to download all these packages one by one and then use offline activation.

You can then install those on different PCs.

With the same activation key you can have it on 101 PCs.

Best regards,

Peter

As I tried to explain I do not see all of those packages of those same versions in package manager. Ergo I cannot download them all.

Hello,

OK, this is because the versions are now in previous folder and maybe also not visible to public.

If you can list me the versions you do not see I can check if we can add them to the previous tab.
