Hello,

I'm a PCB designer and I'm trying to make the Pins configuration tool work for the S32K358 MCU.

The IDE says that I need to select a MCU but there's no option for that. Do I need to install any other package?

I know there's an excel file with all the pins listed but I'm looking for something faster and interactive.

Thank you for your help!

Juan

Well, something like that seemed to be the problem. I cannot tell you which were the conflicting files because I removed all the extensions prior to your reply. Although I updated everithing using the update tool from the S32DS.

Solution was removing all extensions and updates and installing the SW package from the "RD-HVBMSCT800BUN reference design bundle" so probably I was missing something?

That did the trick for since I only need to see the pins with the configuration tool.

Hi @Juanda

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am still not able to replicate your issue.

This situation could be caused because the development package version. Please try to update to the most recent release. You can download it from S32K3 Standard Software -> Automotive SW - S32K3 - S32 Design Studio -> S32 Design Studio 3.5.0 Development Package with support for S32K3xx devices (released on March 31, 2023).

Hi @Juanda

From the images you share, the only step you are missing is selecting your project in Config Tools.

If you are going to implement your project with MCAL, the pin configurations need to be made at the Peripherals tool.

Hello @VaneB,

For selecting the project i have these option but nothing happens when I click on them.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong when creating the project?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Juanda

Could you share an image of the view of pin tools when you select any of the projects?

Also, could you share how the project was created? I am not able to replicate your problem.

Hi @Juanda

I think you are still not selecting the project in Config Tools because the first shared image says <Select Project>.

I do click on the projects but nothing happens. It goes back to <Select Project>.

I'll try opening the program with admin rights and reinstalling the extensions.
