ROM Boot for NXP S32K1xx

Some of ARM controllers have built-in bootloaders in dedicated ROM, separate from the normal flash, and can be configured to run these bootloaders before starting the application, to allow for updating the firmware without using a debug probe. How about S32k1xx devices? Is it ROM boot supported? If true, which of the available communication interfaces can be used for booting? (i.e. CA, I2C, Uart, SPI, ...).

Hi, 

there is no special ROM used for bootloader. You can flash bootloader for example at the beginning of ROM. There is bootloader example in S32 Design Studio for ARM ( S32 Design Studio for ARM 2018.R1 (Windows/Linux) released!  ) for use with RappID Boot loader utility ( https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=RAPPID_BOOTLOADER_UTILITY&appType=license&location=null  )
