Hello,

At HVBMS Reference Design Bundle the start-up example was downloaded:

john24_0-1714599397013.png

However, in the downloaded files, there is no source code v0.9.1, but only the .pmpx and .html files were found. This version of firmware was pre-flashed into the S32K344 eval board, which is part of the HVBMS reference design bundle. The pre-flashed firmware image does appear functional, when all eval boards in the bundle were connected and powered up.

Please advise on where to obtain the v0.9.1 source code. Thank you.

John

Thank you, VaneB, we will focus on updating/flashing the RD-K344BMU eval board with HVBMS-RD Bring-up Example 1.0.2, which we are able to build with NXP DS 3.5.

Thanks!

Hi VaneB,

I checked the thread that you referred to, however, it still does not point us anywhere to locate the actual v0.9.1 source code of the Bring_Up example project software.

As described in my original post, this v0.9.1 software was pre-flashed onto the RD-K344BMU board, which came with the RD-HVBMSCTBUN evaluation kit. What we would like to do, is to obtain this v0.9.1 software, to see how we can build it using the NXP Design Studio toolset.

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi @john24

As is mentioned in the shared thread if you already registered your kit, you can find the packages with the demos for HVBMS-RD Bring-up Example version 0.9.1 in your software account.

My NXP Account > Software Licensing and Support > Software accounts > Automotive SW - HV-BMS Reference Kit Software > HVBMS - RD Bring-Up Example >  HVBMS-RD - Bring-up Example 0.9.1 S32K344 Design Studio. Also, you can find it with the Product Search (My NXP Account > Software Licensing and Support > Software accounts > Product Search) as "HVBMS-RD - Bring-up Example 0.9.1 S32K344 Design Studio".

Hi VaneB,

Thank you for the detailed instructions for downloading the v0.9.1 example Bring_Up example source code. However after importing the project into our NXP DesignStudio, double-clicking on the .mex file, led to the error of:

john24_0-1715010467424.png

Our NXP DS version is:

john24_1-1715010497178.png

Please advise...Thank you.

Hi @john24

The software was developed using RTD version 2.0.0, supported by S32DS 3.4. So, download this IDE version or install the corresponding RTD version (S32K3 Standard Software > Automotive SW - S32K3/S32M27x - Real-Time Drivers for Cortex-M > S32K3 Real Time Drivers Version 2.0.0).

NOTE: the functionality of the software in a different tool version is not guaranteed.

Thank you again, VaneB, for the good information. We will consider downgrading what we already downloaded and installed, RTD v3.0.0/NXP DS v3.5, in order to get the v0.9.1 Bring_Up example project going.

In the meanwhile, do you see any issue if we update/flash the RD-HVBMSCTBUN eval kit, specifically the RD-K344BMU eval board in it, to the newer version of Bring_Up example found in 'SW32K344_HVBMS-RD_Bring-up_Example_S32DS_1_0_2_D2401.zip'?

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi @john24

The HVBMS-RD Bring-up Example 1.0.2 was tested using RTD 3.0.0, so, you should not have any problems with this software version.
