The main difference between FlexCAN and BCAN is that the latter is controlled
by LLCE, a microcode-driven multiple core engine. The main advantage of
FlexCAN which is a pure HW, is simplicity and the option to use it as the boot
device. LLCE-controlled BCAN offers a simpler, fire-and-forget programming
model, more flexible buffer management, advanced GPP core offload services:
security (authentication and enc/dec), interworking with PFE Ethernet,
automatic CAN message forwarding. See S32G3 Reference Manual, Chapter 54 for
more information on LLCE.
