Dear NXP expert:

According to S32Gxx safety manual,A core supports ASIL D when its in Delayed Hardware Lockstep mode and has high direct coverage for random hardware faults.

Is that means I can have my ASILD app deployed on the A core? Or should I do anyething else to achieve it besides Hardware Lockstep?(For example , achieve other safety mechanism)

Your answer is of great significance to me,looking forward to your reply.

Hello, @Hi-rain4

Thanks for your post.

ASIL-D is an automotive risk classification that is part of ISO26262, components or systems that are developed for ASIL-D are made to the most stringent safety requirements.

A53 part on S32G is designed for meeting the ASIL-D requirements, from the description, you may have your own ASIL-D software implemented, from my understanding, the whole system(running your software on A53 part of S32G) may not fulfill the ASIL-D directly.

Maybe you need to analyze and possibly modify your software to fully taking use of the hardware features provided(lockstep, align with other safety modules/features like FCCU), to make it fulfill the DC and other requirements in ASIL-D from system view, then this system you implemented may be used for preparing the ASIL-D certification.
