Hello Support,
When we want to perform Frame Conversion from CAN-FD 64 Bytes of Data to CAN 2.0 8 Bytes of Data using LLCE, then which 8-Bytes of CAN-FD Frame will get selected on CAN 2.0 Data Contents by the LLCE Engine?
1>
Is it user selectable by some register contents or hardware pre-defined always?
Some hints and corresponding Register details for Configuration will help us a lot.
2> Next Question
On CAN-FD side if the Data is coming at 100msec per frame, is it possible to program LLCE so on CAN 2.0 side it will go out at 1000msec rate each CAN Frame?
That means is it possible to decimate the rate of CAN Frames on Destination Side?
Hi Partha Roy
Q. which 8-Bytes of CAN-FD Frame will get selected on CAN 2.0 Data Contents by the LLCE Engine?
A. only keep The first eight bytes of CAN frame
Q. Is it user-selectable by some register contents or hardware pre-defined always?
A. No, it is software behavior, current LLCE firmware does not support it

A. LLCE routing is a software part of LLCE, Rate conversion can be achieved in some way. such as Data is coming at 100msec per frame , receive 10 CAN frame with 100msec and discard other 9 CAN frame. the output is 1000msec rate each CAN Frame. but it just a possible in theory. this feature is not support by the current LLCE firmware.

Hi Partha Roy
Hope you are doing well
LLCE Engine is taking care of CANFD to CAN 2.0 conversion. i think there are no provision like user can select frame. do you have any special use case on which 8-Bytes of CAN-FD Frame will get selected on CAN 2.0 Data ?
(1) (2) Let me ask to our internal team about Register details and frame rare
