Hello,

I am currently working with:

- SDK: RTM 3.0.0

- S32DS for ARM: 2018.R1

I want to upgrade SDK to RTM 4.0.0. I see in its release notes that it is compatible with S32DS 3.3, but it is not compatible with any version of S32DS for ARM. Also in the next link S32 Design Studio IDE for Arm® based MCUs | NXP I can see how the latest S32DS for ARM version is 2.2.

I work with both S32K146 and S32K116.

Would you recommend me to start working with S32DS and stop working with S32DS for ARM so I can start already using SDK RTM 4.0.0 or should I wait for a version of S32DS for ARM compatible with SDK RTM 4.0.0? In case the answer is that I should wait for an S32DS for ARM version compatible with SDK RTM 4.0.0, then when is the estimated date for such version to be released?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Adria

Hello Adria,

This question is more for S32DS support. Unfortunately, I cannot find any documents related to migration.

I have only found the "Migrate" option in the menu "File" of the S32DS 3.3.

Best regards,

Diana

Hello Adria,

I have checked it and S32DS 3.3 already supports S32K devices and RTM 4.0.0, please, refer to link below:

https://community.nxp.com/docs/DOC-347212

I believe it helps.

Best regards,

Diana

Hello Diana,

It helped, thanks.

By the way, the link says: Migration support for projects created in S32DS for ARM v2.2 (with Processor Expert).

Is there also support for projects from 2018.R1?

And about this support, is it through a document, a tool or how?

Best regards,

Adria
