Even with admin privilege not able to install this binary on ubuntu - 22.04 with activation code - 1992-D57A-4A33-66CA.

Kindly help.

Do any network ports need to be open to successfully send an activation request to the remote activation server?

Ok, I think I can answer my own question. In S32DS_ARM_Installation_Guide.pdf I found this note...

Note: Make sure that TLS 1.2 protocol is enabled:
• Open Windows Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Options > Advanced >
Settings.
• In the Security section make sure the Use TLS 1.2 checkbox is checked. If not, check it and click
the Apply button.

So TLS implies it is a HTTPS request, presumably on the standard port 443? So if the machine has internet access working to https sites then the required port for license activation is open. I'm pretty sure TLS 1.2 is enabled by default on Ubuntu 22.04, but it can be checked.

Hi, 

we met similar issues on few PC Machines - but no solution yet. The cause of the issue is Java SIGSEGV crash when calling license service, but we aren't able find reason why Java crashes.

no logs being generated, its getting stuck at 6%

all other linux packages which are mentioned in prerequisites

Hi, 

S32DS v2.2 for ARM is not tested with Ubuntu v22.04. It can be used with v20.04. Did you met the Linux installation requirements - especially Java version 8 (this version is not available on Ubuntu 22.04 by default)?
