Hi Stanislav,
it's great to hear the news:smileyhappy:, I have downloaded and installed the IDE with no any errors.
I created a simple project of MPC5748G with the IDE for test, all configurations are the defaults, builded to be finished with no error and warining.
but when I started to download and debug the project with Multilink-Universal FX and MPC5748G EVB(MPC574xG-256DS + X-MPC574xG-MB), I got the following errors:
Connection from "127.0.0.1" via 127.0.0.1
PE-ERROR: CAN'T READ REGISTERS. TARGET IS RUNNING

Error Resetting device for programming.
Reset script file not found(C:\Freescale\S32_Power_v1.0\eclipse\plugins\com.pemicro.debug.gdbjtag.ppc_1.1.6.201511041643\win32\gdi\P&E\).
PE-ERROR: Error downloading to the device.
PE-ERROR: CAN'T READ REGISTERS. TARGET IS RUNNING
I'm sure the driver of Multilink-Universal FX is correctly installed and the IDE automatally update its firmware when I first time plug it and launch the debug.
from the error information, it seems the reset script not found, which file is it under the path--C:\Freescale\S32_Power_v1.0\eclipse\plugins\com.pemicro.debug.gdbjtag.ppc_1.1.6.201511041643\win32\gdi\P&E\, should I add it manually(how to do it?). could you help to fix the issue?
thanks~!
Enwei Hu.
Hello Enwei,
Thanks for your post!
The issue you describe is probably caused by a higher capacitance of the reset pin on certain versions of X-MPC574xG-MB EVBs.
I have figured out that boards with S/N AX15xxxxxxx may cause this issue.
Anyway there is an easy workaround: just add "Delay after Reset...." in the main core debug configuration.
I tested 250ms on multiple boards and debug works fine now.
We are going to fix this issue by adding a default delay into MPC5748G project in the next release.
Hope it helps.
Regards,
Stanislav
Hi Stanislav,
thanks very much for your timely reply, I can debug the board now.
I find the perpheral register value cannot be modified directly in EmbSys Registers window, can the EmbSys Registers support the feature of online edit? if so, how can I enable it?
I think the feature of CodeWarrior 10.6 register window is very good, for it not only support online edit the register values but can display the details/functions of of peripleral and e200z core register bits.

Has access to this been pulled? I just went to the listed link. The power architecture version is not listed there.
Hi Norm,
Thanks for the heads-up!
Indeed S32 Design Studio for Power is missing on NXP web.
Currently there is Freescale->NXP migration in progress so you may observe some glitches on the web.
We apologize about inconveniences.
I'll let you know once it's available again.
Stanislav
Norm,
This issue has been fixed.
You should be able to download S32 Design Studio v1.0 for Power from NXP web again. You can use direct download link below
